The Time Machine consists of seven sections, each of which covers a different aspect of the period prior to and during the Second World War. Very little of the material in question is hosted on Hero Files itself; primarily, each section provides links to other sites, such as Project Gutenberg and YouTube, where the matieral described can be found.

- The Library - Sources for books our characters might have read.
- Theater - Movies, newsreels, and other period video material.
- P.O.W. Life - Material related to prisoners of war.
- The Military - Documents and other items related to military life.
- Radio - Old time radio dramas, V-Discs, and other audio.
- The World - Information about the world, such as maps and travel guides.
